California Certified Nurseryman, Licensed Private Pilot (including Aerobatics Certification), 2010 recipient of the H.O.L.L.A. Youth Mentoring Award, received FFA & Volunteer of the year award in 2007. Bret Harte H.S. "Volunteer of the Year" 2008, Future Farmers of America "Home Town Hero" 2008, Cover article in "Floral Management Magazine" (May 1993) entitled, "Amplifying Your Image", highlighting development of radio show as a branding tool.

Family, Community Service, and Nature. FUNDRAISER AND MANAGER OF HIGH SCHOOL GREENHOUSE PROGRAM I initiated a fund raising effort which garnered over $33,000.00 in private funds to renovate and update existing greenhouse and field operations and also managed implementation of improvements including computerized environmental controls. I instructed teachers and students in the development of successful growing and sales practices. The high school horticulture program is now fully self-funded and self-sustaining. Students are responsible for growing and marketing all plant material they produce.
